Ingredients

Whipped Coffee:

  • 2 tablespoons instant coffee
  • 2 tablespoons granulated sugar
  • 2 tablespoons hot water
  • 2 tablespoons caramel sauce

For Serving:

  • 2 cups cold milk (dairy or non-dairy)
  • Ice cubes
  • Extra caramel sauce for drizzling
  • Whipped cream (optional)

Instructions

  • Combine: In medium bowl, combine instant coffee, sugar, and hot water.
  • Whip: Using electric mixer on high speed, beat mixture for 3-5 minutes until thick, fluffy, and forms stiff peaks. Color will lighten from dark brown to tan.
  • Add caramel: Gently fold in caramel sauce with a few quick pulses or folds. Don’t overmix.
  • Prepare glasses: Fill serving glasses with ice. Pour in milk until ¾ full. Optional: drizzle caramel inside glass first.
  • Top: Spoon generous dollops of caramel whipped coffee on top of milk. Drizzle with extra caramel if desired.
  • Stir and enjoy: Stir whipped coffee into milk before drinking, or sip the foam first then stir.

Notes

  • Must use instant coffee—regular coffee won’t whip
  • Equal ratios (1:1:1) are crucial for proper whipping
  • Takes 3-5 min with electric mixer, 8-12 min by hand
  • Whip until stiff peaks form before adding caramel
  • Store whipped coffee base refrigerated up to 5 days
